Makeup Brush cleaning talk through

I was cleaning my makeup brushes the other day and thought 'ill do a guidethrough on how I clean them'. Its quite a boring/easy post but we all clean them different ways I suppose, and some of these tips could help. Sometimes people spend so much on cleaner or sprays when really, you dont need to. Seeing as im a budget beauty blogger, ill tell you how I do it for less!
Most people buy the MAC brush cleanser which is actually quite cheap for MAC at nearly £10, which you can buy or view here - http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/135/307/Brush-Cleanser/index.tmpl - and, Ive actually never thought of buying, just because I would rather get something cosmetics wise with £9.50.
So, heres my method! Enjoy.

So first, I get any brushes that need cleaning. This is generally every 2 weeks which I know, thats probably awful but i use different brushes, these were just the few that need doing on the day. Personally, I think you can tell when brushes need washing when you dont feel that they're clean and when you cant see the makeup application on them. Also, eye brushes are the worst when dirty, because they dont apply the correct color. After every makeup application I do wipe the brushes used with a makeup wipe.. this isnt good enough, they need a proper wash.
Makeup brushes are the route of breakouts/spots/acne etc, especially if you are prone to greasy skin or if you break out easily. Bacteria can also build up when you're not using and applying makeup with them. So all because they are just sitting there unused, doesnt mean they aren't dirty..this is when they collect dust&bacteria. An open wound or crack in the skin + dirty brushes = disaster. Sharing brushes isnt the best thing to do either, they can cause infection. With family its not toooo bad, but with people you just happen to know.. isnt the safest option, or healthiest.

Next, I get a bowl of soapy water. You can do this in anything. I did mine in an old washing up bowl! You can use the bath/sink though, if you prefer this.. anything you want! I used washing up liquid for the bubbles, which you can just get a supermarket own brand one, this is really cheap and works just the same for makeup brushes! Then, i applied some 'Tesco own cheap shampoo' this is about 70p and I use it for brush cleaner. I used a mix of hot/cold water.

Then, get a brush that needs cleaning and wet it, in the water you're using and make sure its really wet.
When the brush is +lovely and wet, apply some cheap conditioner, or any conditioner you dont need. Maybe you could use the cheap Tesco conditioner which is around 70p, Ive used that before for this same job and its perfect. Im using a cheap shampoo from Tesco and it works. Apply quite a bit amount, not too much because itll make the brushes sticky, just a 'golf ball amount' will be fine. Use mine as an example!
Then what you want to do is, swirl the wet, conditioned brush into your palm and make it really lathered, just like you would do with your hair really. Just to make sure all the conditioner mixes into the brush/es and gets the most amount of makeup out as possible. Over time of doing this, you will see shades of color come out with the conditioner in your hand.. it looks horrible! Foundation brushes are the worst for it, the wet/dirty foundation isnt the nicest thing to see!
Then, rinse again! You'll know when they're clean. After this, get clear, non bubbled water and wet.
After all of the cleaning, leave your brushes to dry! Using the hairdryer also works aha, I did this last time!
Hope this actually helped a lot of people, it probably didnt but its a cheaper way!

Lots of love..

Nail Wheel Purchase

Last post of today I think.. its 4.45am! ...zzz....
So I ordered these about a week ago from Ebay. Ive been wanting some of these for ages because as you might have seen from Nails Of The Week videos and blog posts, I love to decorate my nails in a classy but pretty way without going overboard.
So I asked dad to buy me these seeing as they were very cheap and cheaper than what I thought they would be.. and simply because Ive been wanting to try them for a while.
I havent done any designs yet, but im saving them for a rainy day! Im always bored so it'll keep me busy.
Ill post pictures of completed ones, if anyone wants to see.
These are from Ebay and cost £1.48 for 10 in a pack. We ordered 3 packs because dad didnt realise how many you got in 1 hahaha.
Just thought I would show you all!
Lots of love..

Tesco; Wake Up! Review

3 for £2!

This is so fruity!

A perfect summer smell!

Mmm! My favourite!
Omg! These are just a few of the best things Ive bought this summer! I lovelovelove these!
Im so easily pleased arnt I, haha.
These are from Tesco. £1 each or 3 for the price of 2. So I spend £2 on 3 of these and I didnt get the Mango&Coconut and the TeaTree&Mint, which I will get next time so I have the whole set.
These are lovely! I was strolling round the wet wipes section in Tesco and came across these, they're so lovely scented and perfect for a Summer freshen up!
My favourite one is the Lemon one. Purely because it reminds me of Fruit Polo's and just because its really fresh. I love them all but the Lime one is very exact to the Lemon but less strong and the Raspberry&Pomegranate one is very sickly and I wont use that as much.
Ive only tried the lemon one to judge them but its the right consistency and isnt too thick but its very fresh and lathers better than the orange&satsuma Superdrug one I got for cheaper. Im really into shower gels at the moment, so Im buying them all!
Out of the Superdrug one and these three.. these win my vote.. but I like them both all the same. Lovely and fruity.. mm!
Have you tried any?
Lots of love..

So....? Sinful!

Hello again!
Doing a lot of posts seeing as its 4am and theres nothing else to do.. I also have a lot to show you anyway.
I bought this for £1 from Tesco the other day and I HAD to show you! I know you've probably all smelt this and its nothing special but I had to post it on here because Ive not bought this one in ages and I did on Friday and its my favourite So....? smell ever!
I cant put my finger on exactly what it smells like, but to me its very chocolaty?! What do you think it smells like?:-)
Lots of love..

My Nails This Week - NYC Review!

This will be so hard to explain hahaha!
Okay so, you all know I bought this when I went to Stamford and on Thursday night I finally tried it out and used it for this weeks nails.
Its a pinky nude color and its quite hard for me to explain the shade because its not a tan/brown nude its more of a peachy pink nude.
Its very light once you first apply it, but if you do two coats its quite clear to see the shade. I applied black polka dots which really defined the color and brought it out.
I didnt have many colors like this, so I decided to buy it and see how nude colors suited me. I think they look really nice and this shade is still summery although its not very bright.
This is the OhSohoSweet shade from NYC color which I love their nail polish brands.. and they're only £1.99! (I love a bargain).
It dries really quickly and is lovely and shiny without a clear coat - I didnt add one.
Its lovely and suits everything because its nude.
Definately buy again!
Lots of love..

Superdrug Orange&Satsuma Shower Gel Review

the swatch of it. its very thick.

I like the lid...
I used this flannel, to apply.

Although it was 89p, the packaging is really nice.

Hey everyone! So I havent posted in a while (again) but, I always save my posts up to post in one so then you lot have a good read instead of doing one daily, I think its best to wait a while and post them whenever.
So, you all know I bought this last week at Stamford, I still need to do a YouTube video which im lagging on, but, its coming soon! Im trying haha.
This was 89p from Superdrug.I didnt expect it to be anything special or strong scented but woah, its great!
I love the lid, purely because it keeps it clean (although this doesnt work for me, im clumsy). It has a rubber tip where the gel will come out of, instead of directly out of the bottle.
I really like the color of it, it looks very strong scented just by looking at it.
I squirted the same amount on my hand at first onto a flannel, a damp one, and lathered it into my skin, I then added a lot more and rubbed it in. Its not amazingly thick and soapy on the skin, but you can smell it a little afterwards. Its not amazing but for 89p its better than some £2+ items!!
I really like it and would buy it again, maybe I just needed a better cloth and added more.. but I 100% recommend and would buy again! It looks like it would last long too.
Lots of love..

OhSohoSweet...

Its a lovely nude, I have no shades like this..

Zofias been shopping!

Mmmm.. gorgeous!
So, thats a lot of photos!
I went to Stamford today, which is like 12 minutes away from me and they have a few shops there like Wilko, M&S, Superdrug, Savers, Boots etc so we just walk the dog there for the meadows and I had some money to spend so we walked up to the shops. Its only a small little place - google?! - but I enjoy it more than Peterborough.. where I live.
So ill guide you through what I bought and then later on when I use the things ill review them a little bit more.
  • Start off in the list order. I bought myself a necklace as I dont have many, I have more earrings than necklaces and I thought this was super pretty! Its a bronzy gold color and is on a thin chain. Its got some pretty hearts hanging off an O shape and these are all different patterns. This would go with pretty much everything and for £2 rather than £5 i thought it was a bargain! I got this from Superdrug!
  • I then bought a flannel, this is an essential because I needed a new one, they need changing every now and again! So this was about 33p from Wilko, I dont really mind about the cheap price tag, it does its job haha! I got this in a Fushia pink, its lovely & soft.
  • From Savers, for £1, I got the new Charlie spray, this is in 'Enchant' the bottle design drew me in and I think its really pretty with the pastel blue color. Ive sprayed this a little bit to smell it, but Ill do a separate review on this. Its in its normal bottle ml and says it contains 'honeysuckle, wild apple and coconut'.
  • I then got myself a new shampoo to try out seeing as my Garnier Fructis shampoo has run out, review here-  http://resterbellex.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/okay-so-this-is-bit-of-different-post-i.html - plus, I hate buildup so I love to change. This is Lychee & Coconut. Well, Ill review this in a new post but.. I have no idea what Lychee is, haha. I love coconut at the moment, so I bought this. £1 from Savers.
  • Everytime I go shopping/out I always pick up a nail polish! I have a reasonably large collection so I think a sortout is in order! This is another NYC nail polish, Ive never bothered with them before but I have 3 now and I love NYC! This is in OhSohoSweet and is a very plain nude color that ive been wanting for a while so for £2, you cant complain! Ill also review this soon!
So, I got quite a lot, I wonder if you've tried any of these?
Lots of love..

Soap&Glory Clean On Me Review

I love the product packaging!

Clean on me..

The pump is really handy.
Hi guys! So, ive found something to post! Ive been a bit quiet on here lately, just because ive been on YouTube etc.
This is a product ive been using recently, so I thought I would just review it.
I like the way it has a pump, so you get the right amount out, not just pouring it on. I like the fact its bottle/container whatever its called, is a big quantity for the price.. available at boots -  http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-Clean-On-Me-Creamy-Clarifying-Shower-Gel-500ml_27846/ - its £5.50 so I think this is an amazing price although I got it in the £60 box.
I love the smell! Its typical Soap&Glory infused and I just love it! If someone said 'what does it smell like?' I couldn't actually explain because Soap & Glory has that certain smell?! Im weird..
It says its made with Mandarin peel extract but, doesn't say what else..
Its very creamy and lathers on the body well.
I apply it to the body with a flannel or a net and rub in well. I can still smell it on my body when I get out and apply Soap&Glory moisturizer!
Theres nothing that I dont like, its great for price and great for everyday use!
Just thought I would tell you what I thought of it, since ive been using it.
Lots of love..
