Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick | Hot Plum

This is the most perfect summer lipstick. Pinks are always my go to shade and I love them at any time of the year but for you girlies that prefer nudes over brights - this is one to try!
I've never tried a Maybelline lipstick before, I normally opt for Rimmel so I decided to pick this up in Boots. This is a definite repurchase everytime, I love everything about it.

For £7.19 it's a high quality lipstick. I love the way it smoothly applies and doesn't settle into fine lines, I don't need a lipbalm as it feels nourishing enough. It applies quite sheer as seen in the picture but once you build it up you get a stronger colour. I like the mirrored tube but don't like the red packaging - that doesn't really matter though!

The only complaint is the fact it's called Hot Plum. This is more of a fuschia shade not a plum. If you look on the Boots website, the swatch is actually purple - in no way is this lipstick purple. Apart from that, I'd love to try the other colours.

Maxfactor Facefinity Primer | First Impressions

Hello!
Today's post is another review, I've been trying a few new products lately and this is a mixed first thoughts post.

This product is part of Maxfactors Facefinity range, they have a foundation paired with this which I also have and will review soon. It's only £10.99 which I think is AMAZING for the ml and for the size bottle. Babyskin from Maybelline was eyed up but I think it's totally pointless, unless you're looking for a Porefessional dupe then I find BabySkin a waste of the price tag.

Facefinity primer is a white, gel like liquid that reminds me of the Smashbox primer - it's a good dupe. When applied to the skin it blends in just like a moisturizer. I then apply some loose powder over the top to set then my foundation. It has one of the ingredients from the Facefinity 3-in-1 foundation.
I like gel primers like this because my skin is oily. When applied to the skin I feel like it's quite refreshing, non sticky and easy to work with. You only need small amounts.

I would say this made the foundation I was wearing on the day (Rimmel Wake Me Up) last for around 3 hours. I'm going to try  it with different foundations to see the outcome. It's great for making my foundation last slightly longer and just work as a general base. Brilliant value.

Makeup Haul | Boots 3 for 2

Haul time!
I feel like I haven't done in a haul in months. I've decided to do them less, just so I can focus the product more in reviews etc rather than hauls.

This month I've made the most of Boots 3 for 2 and picked up a few new bits and bobs. I spent £30 overall which isn't too bad but don't expect it often!
I've been wanting to try the Gelly Lip Products since I saw the advert and I decided to go with this light pink shade which looks slightly darker in photo. The only thing I'm unhappy with is £4.99 for a small amount of product...

I've really wanted to try the Facefinity Range lately too, I decided to get the foundation and primer which I'm excited to try. The primer is amazing value for the ml and price. I wanted to get the Babyskin primer but £8 for a small amount of product is a scam!
I also picked a few lipliners up from Natural Collection and Barry M too so I'll do a few lip looks and probably do a review on them. I never really get lipliners so I have a bit of a collection coming on lately.

Another thing I'm trying is the new Colossal mascara from Maybelline so you'll definitely see a review on that.

MAC Painterly | Thoughts On

 Hello everyone.
Exciting post for you all today, it's a MAC review. I never really shop at MAC, but I've been wanting Painterly for a while. I've been wearing it for a few days so I have a few thoughts on it and I'm going to share them all with you.

I'm a big fan of eyeshadow creams and bases now, all thanks to the Maybelline ones. I never would pay £15 for one of these but I had some Debenhams points which made it £10 and Maybelline don't have a nude shade *or that I'm aware of?* so I thought I might aswell.

I noticed with Painterly, my eyeshadow didn't crease. It kept as a really nice base all day at work and my eyeshadow settled really well ontop. I can use this as an everyday eyeshadow shade or I can add a natural crease colour for a simple look - there's a lot of possibilities with Painterly.
I find that it's creamy and quite blendable but not as creamy as the Maybelline ones - it's slightly thicker so I could maybe use an applicator to apply although I use my fingers.

I always find that if I use a glittery/shimmery eyeshadow this is good as a base - doesn't make the eyeshadow drop out as much and brings out the colour more. I find that once you apply this is dries a little on your lids to create an actual eyeshadow finish, rather than being a smooth finish. It doesn't crease, it's long lasting and goes well with all products - I can see this lasting a long while too so £15 is definitely good value.

Haul

 Hello girls! Haultime.
Today's haul features quite a few things I bought a while back so you may have seen a few of these, sorry about that. It features some jewlerry, skincare and ofcourse, makeup. Enjoy!

I finally got my naked palette, I'm obsessed with the colours and I'm planning loads of looks, I love the shimmery shades the most. I picked up these Poppy King for No7 lipglosses, they're lovely and I'll be reviewing them soon - they were only £2 in the Boots sale!
I picked up
Rimmel's 25 hour foundation which I used to love a year and a bit ago but this time I'm not too sure if I like it as much - it's an alright foundation to blend with my everyday one though. I picked up Miss Manga mascara as I've seen the advert a lot and the brush looks nice - I still need to use this though so I'll keep you updated.
I got the Sunkissed bronzer from Primark because for £1 you really cant go wrong - although, mine smashed so that's not very good. To add to my lipstick collection I picked up Cheryl's lipstick from Loreal's Collection Privee range. It's beautiful.

I'm getting into jewlerry so much more lately so I bought myself a Rose Gold watch from New Look - it's lovely. I picked up two necklaces from Primark as they'll go well with a few tops.

Cheryl Cole's Lipstick | Loreal Privee Range

Admit it girls, Cheryl Cole is one of the most beautiful celebrities out there. I like her music, some people may not.
When I saw this little beauty in my local Boots I knew I had to have it, I've never tried Loreal's makeup but now I actually have a bit of a collection of it.

I've been wearing this lippie for work for the last few weeks. I love how smooth and soft it is to apply, I would definitely say it's MAC quality so if you like MAC lipsticks then definitely try this one - it also has a vanilla type scent to it too.

When I first applied this it did take some time to apply smoothly to the lips although I think most lipsticks start like this. I wouldn't say this is a long lasting lipstick but I did apply mine with a lipbalm underneath so it was glossy instead of a satin finish. Normally with these type lipsticks they cling quite a bit and settle into fine lines but with this one it applied perfectly. It's seriously the 'perfect nude' and would look great with all skintones.

I love the bullet, I think it looks more expensive than a MAC lipstick and I love the black and gold finish. A perfect, everyday lipstick. Well done Loreal, you have a new fan!

2013 Favourites

Evening ladies! Sorry this post hasn't been up sooner, typical me I've been here there and everywhere..
I've finally decided to do my 2013 favourites, over the duration of last year I managed to use loads of new products and find so many everyday beauty products that I've loved.

Lash Accelerator Endless This mascara works wonders, it doesn't make lashes clumpy or dry, it makes them longer and more natural looking if that's how you like it or build it up for volume. It's also really easy to take off.

W7 Brow Bar Brilliant! This comes everywhere with me. The shadows last all day and are brilliant on top of my Color Tattoo's. I use the pale color all over my eye then the light brown on my lid, dark brown in my crease and the black for a smoky liner. The dark brown also looks great in my brows. Perfect little quad!

Color Tattoo - On and Bronze Everyone and their dog has mentioned these little beauties and I'm not surprised - they work wonders. The price tag is great as is the product. These were my wonder for 2013 and certainly won't be left behind in 2014!

Natural Collection Shadow - Chocolate A perfect shadow for all over my lid. This eyeshadow isn't silky soft, neither is it the best you'll find on the highstreet but it works well for me and lasts all day - perfect for the price tag.

MUA Undressed Palette I've used this towards the last month or so of 2013 but it's definitely a favourite. I love the quality of the shadows and the looks you can create - it's a bargain.

Maybelline FIT Me Foundation I've used this everyday since autumn time and it hasn't let me down. My complexion ends up satin soft and it lasts quite a while on my oily skin too. Coverage is also good.

2True Bronzer, Superdrug Never thought I'd like this but I've reached for it everyday since summer. It's leaning towards an orange based bronzer more than a brown base bronzer but I like it even though.

Kate 101 Lipstick The amount of times I've called this a 107 is unbelievably funny. It's the lighter pink shade that I've worn every single day - I will be repurchasing BUT Topshop's 'Innocent' is exactly the same.

Baby Lips Cherry Me I wasn't a lipbalm fan until these came out, now I'm obsessed! I wear this everyday under lipsticks. I HAVE to have this as a base!

Something I'm Loving At The Moment | Body Shop Eyeshadow | 210

Hello lovelies! Today's post is on a product that I'm really loving at the moment.
I always pop into The Body Shop to see what offers they have on or what vouchers I can use in store and a few months back I was looking to use my 50% off voucher and decided that another body butter wasn't going to cut it - so I popped over to the makeup stand and swatched the eyeshadows. I instantly fell in love with this little beauty - it was a shade I was looking for, for months!

The shade is Cocoa Bliss (210). It's a shimmery bronze shade but doesn't sit heavily or super shimmery on the eyes.. it's a perfect lid shade I think OR you can use it in your crease with a brown shade on the lid. I love this shade as it always looks pretty with 'On and Bronze' by Maybelline as a base, a dark, deep brown in the crease and this shade on the outer corners for a pretty shimmer.
This shadow doesn't have much drop out so you can pack it on the lid or sweep across.

I like the pan/packaging, it's quite a small shadow but it's lasted me quite long over the months considering I use it everyday.
The eyeshadow is very smooth and pearly - not chalky at all but easily blendable. I always use this ontop of a cream shadow and it doesn't stick ontop of it it's still easily blendable with creams.
I'd love to try more shades and see what eye looks I can create. These shadows are priced at £7 but I got mine for £3.50 with a voucher.

Christmas/Birthday Haul

Haul time! You girls know how much I love haul on here so I've decided to do a Christmas 2013 one. I turned 17 on Boxing Day so I suppose these presents are combined with my birthday ones this year. I didn't get as many beauty bits because I did actually get an iPhone5s in gold and as ASUS tab aswell so I would rather my gadgets this year instead of beauty bits because I can pop out and buy the beauty bits now as I have a job.

My friend sent me some lovely Lush bits and bobs which I can't wait to use, my favourite boxes have to be the Snow Fairy ones and the Out Of This World one. I love the smell of Snow Fairy, yum!
I got some makeup goodies such as Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara which I've used quite a bit, I love it. I also received another Revlon Colorstay Foundation as I use this all the time.
I got some lovely beauty boxes such as the Maybelline and Loreal ones. I don't own any of the products inside so I can't wait to use them. I don't own any Loreal beauty bits so I'm looking forward to using the eye products inside.
I got some other bits like Montagne Jeunesse, Impulse and sleeprollers. A christmas wouldn't be a christmas without shower gels so I received vanilla and ice cream, Cranberry and cinnamon twist
Other bits include body shop, linen candles and a Kate Moss Nail Polish I won at work.
I also received the Yule Monty set from Soap and Glory.

MUA Undressed Palette | Review

Happy Boxing Day beauties! For all of you that are back to your blog reading already because the distant family that have come down for the festive season are bugging you then I have just the post for you - an MUA review!
Today is my birthday so happy birthday to me - a small 17 haha! I worked for a bit today and I'll update you all what I got for my birthday etc in my haul, in the new year. For now...back to the MUA review!

As you know, a while back I picked up the Undressed palette. It's something I've always had my eye on consdering I've never tried an MUA shadow and this is a much better buy than the shadows themselves. At £1 an eyeshadow but only £4 for this palette, you're basically buying 12 eyeshadows for the price of 4.. amazing!
I was obviously a bit sceptical about MUA shadows because they're an inexpensive brand and sometimes eyeshadows from cheaper brands can be a bit chalky or non existent on the colour payoff. MUA eyeshadows are very impressive letting me create my everyday smoky eye with a perfect pigment.
These shadows blend well, they don't dropout that much so you're not left with shimmery cheeks AND you have all the shades you need in this palette to create an eye look on the go ... all day everyday. I find that these shadows apply very silky and the shimmery shades apply like a normal shadow, not a shadow dust.

With these shadows, the only con I find is that when these are newly purchased they don't apply very pigmented on the first few uses. When I first tried this out I was so disappointing and wondered what the hype was but what you have to do is use it a few times, make a bit of a shown usage in the pan and then they apply really well - I don't know why this is, but it's just something I've observed.

On another post I'm going to be doing a FOTD featuring an eye look from this palette. There are so many looks you can create with this palette and for the £4 price tag I'm definitely trying more of the MUA palettes in the near future. 5,6,7,10 have to be my favourite shades so far.

A Pre Christmas Haul

Hello everyone! I'm back with a haul today and I've finally taken some time out to photograph some purchases. I keep saying this but I'm definitely slacking on the blogging front and I always seem to purchase things and then slack on a haul so as always, I apologise but my excuse HAS to be the lighting! I get home from work somedays at around 3pm and it's nearly dark and my room isn't the best for daylight so it's ever so difficult to the picture take - last year was simple when I had no schedule to live by!

This haul is exciting I suppose.. the last one of 2013 and it includes some best loved products from bloggers that I just NEEDED to buy! Most of these products I've actually tried already but I'll be reviewing them in a different post.

Face
Match Perfection Foundation Savers are excellent for Rimmel goodies, I picked this up for under £5 and I used this all  the time a few months back so I decided to repurchase. I've got a foundation collection going on at the moment so it's worthwhile making a repurchase but now as I'm using Fit Me I don't think I like this as much as I used to. The coverage is slightly less than Fit Me so I mix this in a bit with my current foundation.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer I couldn't find the Collection one so I quickly purchased this in London at midnight when the store was closing... I've used it a bit but I'll need to use it a bit more to tell you what I think. All in all I do think this is a better concealer than the MUA one.
Bourjois Bronzer I've said thousands of times I'm going to get this so I've caved in! The smell is sort of nice, bareable... I've used this a bit and it's a good bronzer but it just doesn't show up on my skin?! I've popped my brush on the bronzer so much to build it up but I just can't get it to show up!? I'm into controuring at the moment and my £1 2True bronzer works better than this... anyone had this problem!?
MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist I've never tried a fixing mist and for the price this was probably an impulse buy but I'll give it a go and tell you what I think!
Bourjois Bronzing Primer I saw this on someone's blog and it looked like a good thing to try. I've never tried one before so I'm waiting for new brushes to apply this with. I think I might have to practice with it first to get the finish I want.
Ebay Beauty Blender Dupe I picked this up on Ebay after seeing it everywhere! I use a brush for foundation but sometimes it doesn't look flawless and sometimes it does a bit streaky so I decided to purchase one of these for REALLY cheap! link
YSL Touche Eclat Highlighter I won this at work months ago and I've just received it! I seriously cannot wait to use it! My first ever YSL product!

Eyes
Scandaleyes Liner I love the thin applicator of this, I've been using this so much and love how it can be built up for a thick line or swiped over the eye simply for basic definition. I like how it isn't too pricey either - another good Rimmel product!
MUA Lash Boom Mascara I love this! Perfect applicator, very different and works with my lashes perfectly.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Mascara I love this mascara too, big wand but not clumpy on the lashes. It's a weightless mascara too which I love, I can wear it all day and it doesn't irritate my eyes.
Bourjois Colour Edition 24 hour Shadows I bought this when I went on my Bourjois spree - I decided I wanted to compare these with the Maybelline ones. I haven't tried it a lot so I'll keep you updated. I picked mine up in a light bronze shade.
The Body Shop Shadow Mon Cherry I never use purple shadows but I LOVE this blended into my crease with a little bit of bronze shadow to keep it natural! I love how I can add some colour to my everyday smokey eye and it looks so good. Definitely using this in a FOTD soon!
MUA Undressed Palette I've been using this everyday for my perfect eye look. I love using the shimmery bronzes for a festive smokey look - perfect palette in my opnion!

Lips
MUA Luxe Lip Laquer Funk I LOVE this shade! It doesn't bleed, doesn't smudge and it stays put ALL day at work even if I eat/drink! Definitely getting more shades as soon as I can - I love them.
Kate 01 Lipstick I love the Kate lippies and I was looking for 107 wine red but I couldn't find it so I decided to get this shade. It's very similar and looks great in the winter.
Topshop Nevada Lipstick Yep, hooked on Topshop lippies at the moment.. this is the third in my collection and it's something different in my complete lipstick collection - it's a pale, peachy nude which I have to have a play with first because I can sometimes look really 'not right' when I have pale lipsticks on so I need to have a play round then I'll report back!
Barry M Touch Of Magic Lippie Yep, I finally purchased this after many mentions! It's just a basic pink lipstick which is unique to everyone. It matches your PH balance to give you a unique pink. When I tried it on the other day it was a pretty hot pink.
Lush Bubblegum Lip scrub Such a novelty item but I'm copying the rest of the #bbloggers! I love the smell of this and it works quite well so I don't mind spending £5 for this because it's actually something that works in my collection.

Other
The Body Shop Cranberry Linen/Body Spray I wouldn't usually purchase something like this but because it's winter I love the scent so I've decided to 'Winter my room up a bit' with this spray.. I got it for half price so it's not a big purchase - I've been wearing it to work a lot too anyway!
The Body Shop Gingerbread Candle Oil I haven't use this yet but I definitely am through the Christmas period! I'm a little disappointed because it smells more of lemon than Gingerbread men but it's a nice scent so I'm happy with my bedroom purchase!
Yankee Candle Apple Spice Potpourri This smells so wintery which I love! It goes well with the cranberry spray! I bought a vanilla one which burns lovely but I used it before I pictured it... oopsie!
Snow Fairy Shower Gel A Christmas essential! This is the first year I've actually shopped at Lush for Christmas, I always forget to go in there but this year I definitely wanted Snow Fairy so I got the shower gel!
Lush Candy Mountain I've heard a few people mention this so when I saw it in store I decided to purchase as I loved the scent and the design was good so I need to use it!
Lush Think Pink My first ever Lush bath bomb has been repurchased 3 years later haha! I never shop in Lush but the first time I did this was the one. I love the flowers and the concept of the bath bomb so I've decided to give it another go!
Mango Shower Gel Not sure if I featured this in my last haul so I've popped it on this one just in case!
Cartier Inspired Bangle I saw this on Maria Fowler's insta page and I fell in love with it! I only paid £6 for mine - I think it's beautiful. I love the simplicity of it and I've been pairing mine with jumpers!

November Empties

Batiste Wild Dry Shampoo | I'm a 50/50 lover of dry shampoo, I either love it on some days or hate it - I liked using this because the scent was lovely and it helped me through some bad hair days! I repurchased another can but not of the same scent.

Wilko Blackcurrant Shower Gel | I normally hate fruity scents but this was really nice to use. They're really inexpensive so I need to pick up a few more.

Nivea Double Effect Deoderant | This was really nice to use - Just a basic!

Mum And Me Bath Wash | I received this as a freebie in the post and wasn't sure how to use it..so I used it to wash my makeup brushes! It made them lovely and smooth...

Face Wipes | I always use these to remove makeup - just another basic!

Tesco Nail Polish Remover | Same as above!

Sanctuary Foaming Soak | I love the scent of these, I have so many more little minis to use which is good!

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off | My favourite freebie from Montagne! I loved this one the most!

November Favourites

Hello beauties! Another post for you tonight, lucky you!
Favourites time again - December is greeting us again on Sunday...can't believe it! This month I've been trying SO many new beauty goodies with you so I'll have to give them a mention soon but for now here are my November best loves!

Yankee Candle Cinnmon Stick So autumnal! I loved burning this one and I think I kept it burning for the whole day. It wasn't a strong or sickly smell it was subtle but you could smell it really well. I loved the woody scent of it - all I needed was a fire and some marshmallows!

Kate Moss 105 Lippie I've finally got to love this and I've been using it more than my pink 107 lately which is a shock! I love the lasting power and the lovely fushia shade. Definitely a November favourite!

FIT Me Foundation Love the coverage, love the shade I use and I love the application. It gives me such a nice complexion and I love the way 210 makes me look a lot more healthier yet it doesn't make me look 'orange'. I love how this lasts most of the day too.

Body Shop Almond Hand Cream I love the scent of this, it's really sweet. I like how the lotion sets into my hands without staying sticky. Perfect for the chilly weather too!

Colgate Max White One Toothpaste I don't really feature things like this but I've enjoyed using this because my mouth/teeth feel a lot fresher to the ordinary Colgate. Lovely!

October Favourites

PRIMARK £1 LIPSTICK
KATE MOSS 107 LIPSTICK
NATURAL COLLECTION CHOCOLATE EYESHADOW
THE BODY SHOP WATERMELON LIPBALM
W7 EYELUST MASCARA

Hello there beautiful!
Today I'm doing my favourites for October. This seems to be my first favourites in ages.. but it's not because I'm *luckily* being consistent with these posts...why does it seem that way!?

As I've been at work I've been sticking to some of the same products so I don't mess up my routine and I know what works for each day BUT I have actually been trying and testing new things and finding new loves, so here goes!

Primark £1 Lipstick | I can only rave about this shade as I only have one. I'm not going into too much detail because I've already done a review which you can find if you wanted to have a read. I love this lipstick because it lasts all day and I mean, all day... it's smooth to apply and it's the perfect barbie pink. People always ask 'oo, what pink are you wearing?!' and it stays put, doesn't bleed and doesn't go too try when it settles during the day.

Kate Moss 107 | The pink 107, not the red one! I love this and I always mention it, I wear this and the Primark lippie together for work and they're a dream team! This doesn't last all day by itself but with the darker pink they're perfect together. I love the shade of this and I love how I always have it with me. Perfect.

Natural Collection Chocolate Eyeshadow | I always use this for work too. I use it with a nice line of black shadow for definition and a darker brown in my crease with this as a base. It's a lovely light shade and works well for everyday. Great for £2!

Body Shop Watermelon Lipbalm | I absolutely LOVE the scent of this. I love how I use it as a base for my punchy pink lipsticks and I love how it hydrates my lips as a base and on its own. The Body Shop always seem to do well - I love you!

W7 Eyelust Mascara | When I first bought this and saw the wand I thought it'd be really clumpy and not lengthening - if that makes sense but after using it for a while *and everyday for work!* I've come to realise that it's a brilliant mascara with everything I'm looking for in a mascara. It's clump free, lengthening and it defines my lashes perfectly.
