January Wishlist

January Wishlist

Yankee Candle | MUA Palette | MUA Brow Pencil | New Look Oatmeal Sandal | MUA Pro Base | Bobbi Brown Manual

Hello everyone! January is now upon us and everything we got for Christmas has been tested out and put away. Although, if you're a makeup lover like me, you'll still be making purchases straight after Christmas! It's typical, Christmas is over and all the new products start to come out and we just want them! Luckily, my January Wishlist contains things all under £20!

I'm going to start doing these on the 5th of the month because I think it's a great idea and a good way to show you things I'm interested in and things that I'm wanting right now! I hope you like this idea and I really hope you enjoy my first post!

Yankee Candle - Beach Flowers | Yankeecandle.co.uk or Clintons | £1.80
I got a few for Christmas and I'm obsessed! I love the fact you don't even need to take the wrapper off or light them and they make the room smell fresh! I really want a big collection of these and I really want to try the summer scents now. I have a few Christmassy ones but I'm unsure whether to light them! I really think they're worth the money too.

MUA Artiste Collection Palette | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £6
This is the prettiest palette! I love speckled/merged colors and I think this palette is great. I'm starting to collect more palettes now so I might not buy this one so soon but I will buy it one day! I love the shades and think they're perfect for summer. I think it's at a great price too.

MUA Brow Pencil - Brunette | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £1
I tried the lighter color of this and it didn't suit me. I'm collecting a few more brow things as I think they're the things I need to improve. I think the price with the brush is brilliant.

New look Oatmeal Sandal | NewLook | £16 (Was £20)
I love these, I love sandals in the Summer and Spring. i think they go with pretty mucb everything like leggings, jeggings, jeans, skirts.. especially because they're nude! They're really simple but pretty at the same time.

MUA Pro Base | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £5
I really want to try this. I think ELF have one that I was going to purchase. I think that it's something different to add to a collection or to complete your collection. I don't know how much the ELF one is but I think this is a great price.

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual | WHSmith / Waterstone | £15
Sorry if the price is wrong! I have a few makeup manuals and I did actaully have this on my Christmas list. I didn't manage to get it so hopefully I can get this one.

Does anything take your fancy in January?

Elemis FreshSkin Lipbalm

This refreshing peppermint Elemis FreshSkin Loving Lips Quenching Lip Balm is enriched with passionflower oil, sweet almond oil and vitamin E to soften and condition the lips.

Ever since I won the Elemis giveaway, I have wanted to review things for you and tell you what I think. I haven't got round to trying most of the skincare items, but I have got round to trying the 'FreshSkin Quenching Lipbalm'. I've never really been a huge fan of skincare as you all know and I haven't really been a fan of lip balm's until I tried the Born Lippy; Body Shop lip balm. I really wanted to review this because I really have enjoyed using this everyday as part of my routine; morning & night.

The lipbalm contains Vitamin E, Passionflower Oil, Peppermint & Sweet Almond Oil. When using the lipbalm I can really smell peppermint and it smells slightly like Soap & Glory's Scrub Your Nose In It scrub, if you've all smelled that, you'll know what I mean! When I apply the lipbalm, I can really feel it working, it tingles slightly but not as bad as Soap & Glory's plumping lip balm.

I really like how it's not sticky or overly glossy, it just creates a transparent coating. I really enjoy using this under or over a matte lipstick, just because it keeps my lips supple and smooth without leaving cracks or sightly lines through the lipstick. I normally apply this just before bedtime and just before I apply my makeup.

This is for teens-20 in the FreshSkin range and maybe it might not be as effective for over 30's as a treatment.. although it could be good for a makeup style application, for a lipgloss. On the Feel Unique website they gave a good beauty tip which I thought would be good to include "
Harsh winds, frosty mornings and strong sunlight all contribute to dry or chapped lips. Keep lips well moisturised at all times to minimise damage and drink plenty of water. Fine lines and wrinkles appear around the lips later in life, and smoking can exaggerate these lines."

I won this in a giveaway for free but you can buy it at Feelunique.com for £6.40 or on the Elemis website for £8. I don't quite understand why price ranges differ on both websites but I thought I would include both prices! I don't think for 10ml I would personally pay £8 but because I won it I think its amazing to use without the price tag!

Have you tried it?

Glamour Joy Card | What Did I Buy With Mine?

The Body Shop | Chocomania Soap & Clementine Lipbalm | £2

As any true Glamour reader would know, there's another freebie in this months magazine! I only started reading Glamour magazine last month with the Nails Inc freebie, but I really enjoyed reading the magazine too so I thought I would get this months edition too AND there was another freebie enclosed! I never really collect magazines but I'm glad I started collecting this one, for the freebies and for the magazine. I'm not sure if Glamour give away something every month, I don't think they do.

When I saw this in this months edition, I was really excited to try it out. I never really shop at The Body Shop, or enter the store. I've always thought that it's quite pricey, but now as I've been in and had a look - its really not!

In the middle of the store is a few baskets with body butters, shower gels, soaps etc.. I was drawn to this as its a little cheaper and something I could have spent my card with. On my card was £3.. I think every card has £3 on it - I can't see them giving £100 away! Unless 1 or 2 cards have £100 on, I don't think many will.

So what did I buy? As you can see, I bought a soap & a lipbalm! I absolutely LOVE this lipbalm! The taste/smell is lovely.. so fresh&fruity. I really love the smell of clementine, I bought a shower gel earlier this year with the smell of Clementine in..mmm. Most lipbalms  have a plain taste - makes me avoid having a lipbalm collection because most are like 'Vaseline' which is tasteless, whereas the Body Shop ones come in all different scents like Strawberry, Guava etc.. I really like this, it's so smooth on the lips and I actually used it the other day to go out; I used it like a lipgloss and it was noticeable and just the right amount of lip product! The orange color is not noticeable but you could see a tint. It's quite shimmery but it's perfect for a coating of 'gloss'. I like to apply this overnight and in the morning its soaked in and leaves my lips nice and smooth for the perfect application of lipstick.. I really love it and I'm going to collect them all!
Moving on to the soap - this is just a Chocoholics dream! I'm not overly addicted to the scent of Chocolate or eating chocolate so I was unsure on buying this. They had other soaps there like Clementine, Lemon etc but I decided to get Chocolate because I thought it was quite unusual and different, something I could add to my bath box without having another one. I haven't used this yet, but its very overpowering and extremely Chocolate scented. I can't wait to use it and I think the smell will 'tone down' just a bit when its lathered into the skin. For the price I'm also going to collect these, I think they're so worth the price!

The Body Shop have proved me wrong! I need to shop there a lot more and I think their products are great quality and really worth buying -  I'm happy with my purchases!

What do you like to buy from the Body shop?
Did you get a joy card?

Christmas Gift Guide!

Christmas Gift Guide!
Essie Winter Collection |  OPI Skyfall Collection | New Look Cake Stand | Lush Snow Fairy | Lady gaga; Fame | Naked Palette

Hey lovelies

So its that time of the year again! Hot water bottles, rain, snow, frost, ice, Christmas movies, Elf, Presents, Busy streets.. the list is endless but thats what makes Christmas so special! We all complain about doing 'the Christmas shop' but really, on the 25th when we see our loved ones open their presents and receive something that they've been wanting all year or have seen many adverts about, we all do cartwheels and jump for joy inside, because it makes the day special by giving, not just receiving.
The only problem we all sometimes make.. giving someone something that they don't want, or do not have an interest in.. Obviously because this is a Beauty/Food/Lifestyle blog these are beauty gifts, so before these inspire you to go out and spend, spend, spend, make sure that the person receiving these actually has an interest in the products listed!
Later this month I will be doing 'Christmas week' full of Christmassy things, just like I did with Halloween week. I decided to do this early, just because people are shopping quite early this year and I just thought this would be a better time to do it, than a week before Christmas.
So, without further ado, I will sh and get on with it!

Essie Winter Collection | £9.95 | ASOS
I spotted this and thought it was a great gift! Slightly under £10.. just! Which makes it a great gift for a friend or for a stocking filler. It's also a great gift for people that are unsure of what they want or if you're unsure of what shades and brands they like. Personally, I have never tried Essie but, I am trying some soon for Christmas! I didnt put this on my Christmas list *why* but I will do now! I think its just perfect for the people I listed above and think its great for this season; as its Winter!

OPI Skyfall Mini's Collection | £13 | John Lewis
I put OPI on my Christmas list, not these mini's collection but just one of the Skyfall's. I'll be doing a haul & review so dont worry!
I have never tried OPI, I dont think they're sooo overpriced, I just havent managed to purchase one yet. But, I think this is a great gift for the same reasons listed on the gift above. I think the product is great for beauty hoarders and people exactly like myself! It's also a great gift to have, being a collection, and something that is fairly new. The shades are also wintery too! Perfect for Christmas!

Cake Stand | £9.99 | New Look
This is a slightly different present maybe? I have actually asked for this, both as a cake stand for all my pretty decorated after-Christmas cupcakes AND for my makeup storage! Its multi-use and very girly. I'm planning on storing my eyeshadows on this, as all of them are all over my makeup desk untidy. This is an excellent stocking filler for any age, even if you cant find something for Mum and she loves baking, or if you have a neice who bakes or a Sister that keeps makeup in the same way! Its multi-purpose and a pretty thing to have around the house!

Snow Fairy | £3.50 | Lush
Perfect stocking filler! For my 'stocking fillers' I have these wrapped up and put under the Christmas tree, I call them my 'small presents' and I normally get two big presents to open too. I HAVE put this on my list this year, I've never tried it before so I cant comment on the scent but everyone writes great reviews about it, so I'm basing my decision on them! Obviously making sure the female you're buying it for uses bath things and shower gels etc, because if not, it wont be put to good use! It's great for the price and really adds a lovely touch and something nice to open. Its also from the Lush Christmas range and only comes out once a year, so get it while you can!

Lady Gaga; Fame | £49 | Lord & Taylor.com
This is another one that I havent tried but all reviews are good. Obviously check the reviews before buying but really and truthfully; I dont think you need to! It's a celebrity scent which some people are fussy about *personally, I LOVE celeb scents!* and I cant really see why, but people say this isnt like 'A celeb scent' its like a designer scent. The whole 'black perfume' really put me off at first but now I cant wait to try it, although its not on my Christmas list for this year!

Urban Decay; Naked Palette | £36 | Debenhams
Perfect reviews, shades for everyone, Urban Decay. Thats all I need to say! I don't have this palette and was debating whether to spend a whole £36 on it, I do want it but I don't really know whether to actually buy it. We all know its a good palette but I might just get the Undressed palette by MUA first.
This is a perfect gift because all the shades suit everyone. Nudes & Brows are versatile and suitable for any skin or hair color, its all about how strong or light the color is blended/ lip color. The naked palette is perfect for any teens or any adults in the family, just because its something anyone who loves makeup would be happy with opening.

I really hope you enjoyed having a read of my gift guide, I might do 'Gift Guide 2' in a few days time, but I just thought I would do this one as I was having a bit of a scan about on the internet and thought it would be a great idea. I know I havent tried most of them, but I know a good gift when I see one! ;-)
My Blogmas Day 6 will be up in a minute too!

What do you all want for Christmas?
Are any on the list?

Tag | Why Do You Wear Makeup

-photo is courtesy of weheartit.com although I personally edited the photo, I will take it down if it belongs to you-

Hey lovelies
I like doing these tag videos/blog posts because they're quick and simple but they let you guys get to know me a bit more with some questions. I do a lot of them, a few too many maybe but I enjoy doing them and I hope you do too!
So as normal, Ill answer the questions to the tag, just like I did in my video to the tag which got a few dislikes :-( but you can view here ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh08S4GSkZE&feature=plcp

♥ When Did You Begin Loving Makeup;
I began loving makeup in Primary school. I never used to be girly, I always used to wear scruffy clothes with no interest in makeup! I used to love Barbies and dressing up and dolls etc, but I had no interest in Makeup. I used to love all the pretty colors in eyeshadow sets and stuff but I never used to apply them! In primary school I had 3 bestfriends who loved makeup and they always used to get their sister to apply their makeup and stuff, I didnt! Then in Year6 I always wore mascara, maybe because I wanted to be cool, haha. Then in year 7 I used to wear more. I didnt know how to apply it properly haha, it used to be so smudged! Im glad I didnt wear it when I was younger though.

♥ How do you feel without makeup;
Just..normal? I dont feel any different! At home i feel normal with or without, I dont mind wearing none although I dont like going out without any because I like to feel my best and look presentable.

♥ What do you like about makeup;
I like how you can make friends, chat about it, blog, youtube! So many options, its a great hobby. It can get you a really good job too, I'd love to be a makeup artist.

 Three holy grail items;
Eyeliner/mascara. I only have 2!

I hope you enjoyed this tag and leave your comments below telling me your answers, I'd love to know!

3D Lips

Hey Lovelies!

So recently on my Youtube I tried to create glossy, red lips.
I think they look ok-ish but I could have done better!
You only need two lipsticks.. I used MUA shade 13 and Coral In Gold by Rimmel.
I applied a light red lipliner all round my lipline first, then applied the red lipstick to my outer lip. I then applied the same to the top outer lip. In the center I applied the coral In gold. Its simple but you could achieve this look better by using more matte lipsticks. Its really simple, go on my Youtube channel to find out  more and watch a tutorial.
Lots of love,

Autumn Inspired Look!

 Hey Lovelies!
So on my Youtube yesterday I created this look. Im sorry the camera was a bit wonky here & there but that was my first tutorial and I really wanted to do one, so the next thing I'll practise is my camera skills..
I thought it would be good to upload the pictures onto here etc, so you can have a really detailed look or whatever.
So Ill list the products I used and how I easily did the look! Hope you all enjoyed it, I was so nervous haha.

  • I thought all the colors used were great for autumn, I love shimmery browns and matte black eyeliner and im getting the hang of the 'winged look' now too!
  • Grey or white looks great in the inner corner of your eye as it makes them look slightly wider.
  • I used two eyeliners, MUA for the thinner line which is on the inner corner and then the Beauty Base one which has a slightly thicker wand for creating a double line, which leads outward for the wing.
  • I used the cats eyes mascara as it makes the lashes un-clumpy and has the perfect wand.
  • For the base, I used Maybelline Tattoo in On-And-Bronzed. This is great solo or great to build up.
  • For the grey color, you can use anything but I used the 'Zero Gravity' quad by Beauty Base - LA color.
  • For the outer part of my eye, I used the Rimmel Eyeshadows from savers. I used 103 Rock Star.
So yeah.. I hope that this look was a good enough one for my first tutorial. Im quite confident now, I've planned my next one, I just hope its not too bad! Haha!
Lots of love..

September Empties/Faves

 Hiya lovelies!
So this post is quite delayed because my camera was playing up and stuff, thats why my Youtube video hasnt gone up yet. I always seem to be delayed on Youtube with my monthly faves and then I never seem to post my faves/empties on to here.. so its late BUT, I remembered this time!
So in September I didnt really have many faves, and if I did, I've already said them before or they're my empties! So I've combined them together.. I'll start with Empties first;
  • My Elvive 'Smooth Silk' intense shampoo. This is so good, this ran out in like early September, I haven't yet repurchased but I think I might have to, my hairs ruined! This is about £3/£4 in Tesco or Boots.
  • Next empty! This is my everyday deodorant. I dont use any other deodorant, I just pick this one up from Tesco in my weekly shop! It smells lovely, its fresh and not heavy and lasts a long time! ..and its only £1, ha!
  • This is my old cleansing lotion. I didnt have any at the time so I just picked it up from Wilkinsons for £1, but I got bored of it, so I have now bought a new one which I'll post up. Its okay and does cleanse the skin, but its not a cream type lotion, its alcohol.. dont think its very good for the skin?
  • Next is the VO5 'give me moisture' conditioner. This is amazing if you have split ends! AMAZING for the ends of your hair to give moisture! Love love love this, and its good if you straighten your hair, as it doesnt leave residue and leaves it shiny, not greasy looking.
  • Alberto Balsam.. this is the shampoo that smells like coconut.. the smell is lovely, the shampoo isnt.. I washed my makeup brushes with this halfway through the bottle, it just didnt suit my hair.
  • The next one is the crystal elvive conditioner.. love this! Really want to purchase again, and the smell is lovely!
  • I always use these wet wipes, they last about 2/3 weeks and they take my makeup on and off, leave my skin smooth and they make my skin feel fresh, these are just the Tesco ones that you get from the baby isle!
  • The next one is colorseal gloss, this is good for extensions and freshly died hair, I've used the red and brown one, I love them.. great for £1! I'm just wondering if they do a bigger one!
So I hope you liked my empties and hope I added a variety! I'm going to do my small amount of September faves now:-).
  • I've been loving the volume sensation mascara this month! I found this in Poundland a while back *cheeky*. I had this when I was about 10/11 and I love it! I love the wand, its big, it adds volume and its great for bottom and top lashes.
  • I Love the color tattoo from Maybelline's 'studio' range. I think that its great to build up with eyeshadow or wearing it on its own. I'd love to try the other colors, this is the only one I have at the moment, but its such a basic brown where you can do simple or dramatic looks with it.
  • Then, last one, I've been loving the Poundland chubby stick dupe. This is brill for an all day look on the lips, adding a tiny bit of shimmer and a juicy feel. Also, cheeky tip!.. if you get a spare eyebrush, you can actually use it in the same way you use the eye tattoo.. it DOES crease so you will need to use the eyetattoo as a base or use a primer as a base.. or you could use it for a thick eyeliner look.. ive tried, it works! Make sure you use a brush though, because mixing eyes with lips may be a bit unhygenic.
So I hope you enjoyed this big post, I'm glad I remembered to post this as I never normally do! I can now put my things in the bin!
Lots of love..

What A Bargain!

I finally found this mascara again! Around 4/5 years ago, I bought this. It was my first mascara I think. I loved it, the brush, everything! It created volume easily and easily comes off.
I havent seen it on the Collection 2000 stands in ages but the other day in Poundland.. I found it!
When I bought this it cost £6.. I saved £5!
Juts thought I'd show you , I love it and its a bargain! Perfect for thick, false looking lashes.

London Haul!

Okay so as you all know I went to London last Saturday. I picked up quite a few beauty bits so im going to show you them now and the clothing tomorrow. Sorry if this post is extra long aha.

I bought quite a lot!

So first thing Im showing is this.. this is really lovely! I started collecting candles a while ago and stopped, shame because you can get some lovely ones for hardly any cost. I love decorating my room with pretty ones and as im swapping rooms nearer to Christmas or whatever, these type candles will really match in.

I bought it from Primark for just £1! Its a lovely medium size so good for the price.

I really like the packaging/jar. Its not tacky and looks really pretty and girly. It suits the title of Spring Blossom.

I really like the smell.. its quite strong but once it burns it might not be as strong as it smells out of the jar.

I picked up this pretty bracelet for £3.. I love it! Been looking for one, for ages.

I love the beads on it.. Its more pink in real life but I think the camera didnt pick it up.

The beads are so pretty and for £3 im made up! I think they did another color but I cant remember... check out Primark if you want one!

I picked up some pretty makeup bits that didnt cost a lot too!

Available in Poundland/Savers. Im not a cheap skate or whatever but I love a bargain. I saw on someones blog that these are available here and they're like a dupe of the 'Clinique Chubby Stick' Im going to review these more on another post anyway, so shh!

Autumn shades!

They're really smooth! Great for £1.

Looking forward to trying them out. Really pretty shades!

Finally bought it! Like the products above, I'll go into detail about this in another post but this is part of the haul so I'll show you. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr.

Shade-On and on Bronze. I picked this shade up because you can build it up for day or night. Amazing for £5.

I picked up and Eyeliner from Beauty Base, only £1 so i thought I would try it as I love Beauty Base!

Not amazing packaging but I didnt really expect that.

Its really light but liquidy.. such a deep black.

Dont know about the applicator quality yet, I'll tell you soon!

I picked up these! £1 each from Beauty Base! Different shades..soso pretty.

Sassy Sparkle - Good for summer or winter nail effect.
Fiji Purple - good for winter as its a deep purple shade. Its got a hint of pink too.

Goddess- Such a pretty bronze color, big & small glitter particles and is great for autumn.
Shock- Good for summer and autumn as its a satsuma/mustard color. Never bought a shade like this before!

A different, but pretty range of colors. Ill have to add these to my 'Nails of the week' videos! Ill be painting them soon!

What ones your favourite?!

Last thing! I got these free in Westfield: Stratford as I was passing a Nivea stall near Forever21. So, anyone living there or visits there, remember to pass by! They seem good to try out!

Have you bought any of these recently?
Lots of love..
