Soap & Glory | Best and Worst..

Yesterday, I posted up a video on my Soap & Glory; Best and Worst. I remember seeing someone on Youtube do this and I thought it's a great idea, seeing as I'm a small lover of Soap&Glory. I don't have a huge collection, but what I do have - I'm grateful for! My set came in the £60 box set back in 2010 and ever since then, I've loved S&G.
Some products arn't to my fancy but I still use them anyway. I'm one of these people that can't leave anything unused, I have to use it up! I never really get skin allergies so I always use products up and if I don't like them I won't buy them again.
I haven't got round to trying S&G cosmetics, I hope to soon but for now I'm a fan of the Bath&Body things. I absolutely LOVE the soap&glory smell! It's SO difficult to explain but I love it and I'm sure other people would totally agree.
I'm going to guide you through my S&G collection and tell you the things I love and not so love.

Heel Genius | Boots | £5.50

I love this! This makes my feet so smooth and soft and supple.. mm! The smell is slightly different to the other products, it's hard to explain! It's a fresh smell, not a fruity smell.. It lasts ages and you can use it really sparingly because its such a thick lotion. I'd definitely repurchase! This product is a best.

Hand Food | Boots | £5.00
This is one of my favorite S&G items but I don't use it as often. I'm not really a 'hand cream' sort of girl but I do have quite a collection that I need to use now. This was my first hand cream/moisturizer and I was impressed. I never really liked putting hand creams on just because of the stickiness they had and the time they took to dry. This one sinks in so well and the smell is gorgeous. A definite repurchase.

The righteous Butter | Boots | £10.50
I love this! It's smooth, fragrant and moisturizing! Its over the £10 mark but totally worth it. Mine has lasted me AGES and I need to use it up! Its so rich and lovely and mm.. totally re purchasable and if you're stuck for choice over a moisturizer, pick this one!

~

Scrub your nose in it | Boots | £7.50
I don't use this a lot. I am at the moment just so I can use it up and carry on with my Elemis facial scrub. It gives me a few spots and redness on my cheeks so I try and avoid this. Obviously, this came in a set so I had no choice on buying or not but I wouldn't repurchase just because it doesn't suit me - this doesn't mean it wont suit you! The smell is very fresh and minty and this is one thing I like about it. I also like that it's a thick paste type scrub, nothing like the small grained Elemis one.

Girligo | Boots | £6.50
Since doing this post, I've used this a bit more. I saw on someones blog the idea they use this for and I really like it. I have used it as it's meant to be used and it's a good product. Someone mentioned how they spray their bedsheets and pillows with this.. tried it! Love it! The smell of S&G is lovely so I liked doing this. Although, I wouldn't repurchase.

Breakfast Scrub | Boots | £9.50

This is a lovely smelling product but I don't have a use for it! I'm not a scrub type of girl really so I just don't use this but I can see why people like it - I just don't use it.

Flake Away | Boots | £7.00
The same reason as above! I'm not a scrub type of girl, but it's an okay product!

I hope this post was a tiny bit helpful for any S&G products you want to try or if you're building up a collection. I think these were the first few S&G products as they were bought 2 years ago!! I want to try so many S&G products as I still haven't tried the cosmetics and I've heard brilliant reviews.
Hope you've all had a brilliant weekend and be careful in the snow!

Lots of love,

Zx

NOTW | Pauls Nails

Pauls Nails | £15.99 | Bank.com or BANK stores

Hello everyone! This is my first NOTW post in January so ofcourse, I'm using a nail polish that I acquired for Christmas! This week, I'm using Pauls Nails. If you all don't know, yes, it's Pauls Boutique. I know everyone isn't highly keen on Pauls Boutique and I'm not a major fan. I don't necessarily get Fashion items from there, although I am keen on the bags. I don't like the coats as so much - I'd never buy one! But hey, each to their own!

I got this set for Christmas; it includes a set of 3 'Pauls Nails'. I'm really keen on the set and the colors are all really nice. Purple, Gold and Pink. This is one that took my fancy and I really like the light shimmery shade. I don't have many shimmery nail polishes so this is one that I really wanted to try first.

This is such a subtle  gold, shimmery shade that applies really smooth to the nails. I was surprised that it set so quickly and dried within 3-4 minutes. It's not a very thick polish which I quite like because it's not heavy and doesn't make me realize I have nail polish on which is a bonus, because I normally peel it off by 2 days which drives me mad! It hasn't really chipped which is obviously the biggest bonus! I also really like the brush - I have short nails (as you can tell) and I really detest when a lovely nail polish has a long brush that makes my skin painted instead of my nails!
All in all, I think this is a brilliant polish and such a bargain at £15 for three nail polishes. I think the nail polish bottle is really simple and not tacky looking and I would definitely repurchase!

Lots of love,

Ristotto is one of my favorite meals. I absolutely love the taste of the rice, too!

What You Need | Ingredients
Half a cup - Risotto rice. You can use normal rice if you have nothing else!
2 Mushrooms
Half an onion
A slice of pepper
Mixed Herbs
Vegetable stock cube
Garlic

How to Cook | Method
Not only is this recipe so tasty, but it's easy!
First, chop all of your vegetables up and while doing so, heat some olive oil in a frying pan. Add all your vegetables when the oil gets hot enough. Let these go really soft and then add the garlic. When the garlic goes golden, add the stock cube; I use OXO vegetable stock and add enough water to my liking. On the back they give guidelines if you want to use these, but you can just add water to your liking to get the taste you want. I never add a lot of water because it masks the taste. Then add that into the frying pan and let your vegetables simmer into the stock. When you see the stock simmer (bubbling gently) add your rice and stir. Stir in the rice so it absorbs the stock. Add the amount of rice you need for the amount you're serving for. Then when the rice still has the crunch but has simmered for 15/20 minutes and has absorbed the stock - it's ready to eat!

Ideal Nail Polishes For Winter!

NYC - Oh-Soho-Sweet | Ciate - Wait Until Dark | Rimmel - Passion | MUA shade 16 | LA Colors | LA Color - Energy Source | KIKO | Barry - Mushroom | NO7 | Rimmel - Blackout | Barry M - Vivid Purple | A gift set nail polish | MUA |

I'm really into nail polishes at the moment. I have quite a collection of brands and miscellaneous nail polishes, blues to reds, greens to pinks.. but I'm really not a lover of deep dark shades - I like them but I just prefer bright, out there shades.
A while back I swatched some wintery shades on a nail wheel for you all, just to show you what nail polishes I would wear if I liked dark shades!

Most of these you've all heard before and so I'm sorry but like I say I don't really collect dark shades and this was photo'd quite a while back so I have gained a few dark un's since!
Most of these shades are the same but also affordable.

My favorite shade from this collection has to be NYC high line green or Rimmel's passion. Some of the nail polishes haven't been swatched so bear with me!
I love Passion because I'm a lover of Matte red shades but don't have enough of them! As for high line green .. I love this! I loved this ever since I bought it and it's actually the only deep green I have in my collection! I think it's a winter shade because its dark but still a fun shade.. I also think it stays on the nails for a good amount of time and the price is also a bonus!

In winter, I do prefer Matte shades. I personally think that shimmery shades are more autumn/summer colors, but whatever takes your fancy! As I've always said, I never really follow seasons or trends in certain things, I just go with whatever!
Another shade that I think is perfect for Winter is the deep red N07 shade. I'm fussy with no7 and everyone knows this! I love the shade and think vampy colors are great for this season.
An easy way to keep up with the season - Use vampy, deep shades for the perfect look.

Hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it helped you out a little!

Favorite 2012 Products

Welcome to my best 2012 products! I didn't really know what to pick but I managed to come up with a few! These are just based on things I've mentioned the most in 2012 and things I reach for everyday. These are actually all bargain type things and nothing is overly expensive. They're all things I would repurchase again and things that I think are quality, good value items.

Makeup
These items are things I definately use everyday. All of these items have lasted me a long while and most are no where near empty!

Max Factor Facefinity Foundation
This is only a sample and although the shade is quite a bit lighter than me, I enjoy using it. I always use a bit of bronzer anyway so the foundation doesn't change anything. I really like the coverage and you don't need a lot. I like how the sample has lasted me 4 uses and I still have the chance to use it one more time! It's quite a thick foundation but I really like how it applies. I definately have enjoyed using this for the last months of 2012 and I will purchase the full size.

MAC Nicki Minaj Viva Glam
This was my first MAC lipstick. I really wanted a bright pink lipstick and at the time, this was perfect .. it still is! I obviously don't use this every single day because I like using it for when I actually go out. For £14 I can see this lasting a long time so it's definitely worth it. I've really enjoyed using this in 2012 and in 2013 I really hope to expand my MAC collection.

Natural Collection Natural Loose Powder
I use this everyday. I use this to really top off my foundation to give me a non cakey look. It's lasted me a long time and I still have quite a bit left! The best part is - £2! For a long time, I needed something that stopped me being so shiny and greasy and oily. It drove me insane! This is the perfect everyday product.

MUA Lipstick
This color is RED! It's really smooth and moisturizing but very bold at the same time! I love how I can create a lipline with this too.

Maybelline Color 24 Hour Tattoo Eyeshadow
I love this as a base, or even as a simple day look on its own. Its really creamy but pats onto the eye perfect. I can create the perfect day or night smoky eye with this and I really want to collect all the shades!

Chit Chat Bronzer
Yes, this is a Poundland goodie.. I know a LOT of Bloggers who rave about Chit Chat bargains! I absolutely love their stuff and I'm not afraid to admit it! I think this gives a perfect glow without being overly noticeable. Its not shimmery and it gives the right amount. I have two of these and I use them everyday!

Boots Essentials After Sun
Random! I use this as a makeup primer. I picked this up in Green Park, London when I was burnt on my back in the summer *memories*. Its so cooling and I had a lot leftover so I thought to use it as a moisturizer under makeup. It gives the perfect satin finish base and I use this all the time under foundation/loose powder. £1.

Maybelline Colossal Cats Eye Mascara
Everyday mascara. I love love love the wand and it's not clumpy. My lashes get separated with the equal amount of product. It's lasted me since Christmas 2011 which is great. I love Maybelline mascaras, I think they're the best in the shops.

Maybelline Studio Drama Gel Eyeliner
This eyeliner was purchased in February, 2012. This was the first gel eyeliner I tried. I got really drawn in when the advert came on and I knew I had to try it! At first, I thought £7 was a bit ridiculous but looking back it was a decent purchase. It's lasted me ages and defines the eyes perfectly. I also use this everyday too!

Chit Chat Juicy Lipstick
Chubby stick dupe! For £1 instead of £16 I think this is a brilliant bargain. The color is so so so deep *look in my Blog profile picture* and really makes my lips bold. I love how it applies, smooth and creamy. This is the first one I bought and for Christmas I got the whole 6 collection! I seriously love them and they give me the amazing amount of color with a moisturizing bonus!

MUA Black Liquid Eyeliner
This is my everyday eyeliner. I seriously love the fine tip and how it creates a perfect cat eye. Because of the wand, it's perfect to get to the lashline and doesnt smudge.

MUA Lipstick
This color is RED! It's really smooth and moisturizing but very bold at the same time! I love how I can create a lipline with this too.

Nail PolishesThese shades are ones that I think were worth purchasing and ones that I haven't nessacarily worn 24/7 but ones that I love in my collection.

NYC High-Line Green
I can't explain how much I love this! It applies well and takes ages to chip. I've only worn it a few times but it will be a NOTW soon!

NYC Oh-Soho-Sweet
After ages of looking for the perfect nude shade, I finally found it! It's very light and basically unseen but it's great for school or for college if you need a nail polish but one that's not neon ha ha!

NYC Lights Camera Glitter
I love NYC. I really want to collect more nail polishes and I really hope to! This is the perfect glitter that I was looking for, for ages too because of the big particles. It doesn't go gloopy either so it stays smooth for days!

LA Color Fuji Purple
I love this and as you all know, I love LA colors nail polish. Every trip to London I pick up a few and this one was one of the nicest! I love all the LA color, colors but this one is such a classic hot pink. I don't really like hot pinks but this one is an acception!

KIKO
I'm unsure of this shade but I bought it from Westfields. I was looking for a navy blue for ages and this is such a thick, matte, navy blue. It doesn't chip for ages and I want to check out more of the KIKO shades.

Other

Lovely Mint Story - Treaclemoon
I always see the Treaclemoon products in Tesco and I'm really into these types of bubble bath/ shower gels. They're a lot like I Love.. products and I think they're great on the purse. I love this mint one as it's really fresh and always reminds me of Winter! It's lasted me a long time, probably because I have so much to use up!

Primark Spring Blossom Candle
This candle got me really into candles! I love this smell, its very overpowering when you smell it but when lit, it's subtle. I love jar candles and at a small price, this is great for an everyday candle because you can light it everyday without repurchasing at a high price. I only paid £1 so I will repurchase!

I hope you enjoyed this post and sorry if I've been a little repetitive..

The reason for this post is so YOU get one free. I got given a code that you can use to get your box free. Even if you don't want to pay for a subscription, get your first one then cancel the weekly/monthly subscription. Choose your day for delievery, enter bank details then choose the foods you like and dislike - they then package it up and send it on the day you choose.

January Wishlist

January Wishlist

Yankee Candle | MUA Palette | MUA Brow Pencil | New Look Oatmeal Sandal | MUA Pro Base | Bobbi Brown Manual

Hello everyone! January is now upon us and everything we got for Christmas has been tested out and put away. Although, if you're a makeup lover like me, you'll still be making purchases straight after Christmas! It's typical, Christmas is over and all the new products start to come out and we just want them! Luckily, my January Wishlist contains things all under £20!

I'm going to start doing these on the 5th of the month because I think it's a great idea and a good way to show you things I'm interested in and things that I'm wanting right now! I hope you like this idea and I really hope you enjoy my first post!

Yankee Candle - Beach Flowers | Yankeecandle.co.uk or Clintons | £1.80
I got a few for Christmas and I'm obsessed! I love the fact you don't even need to take the wrapper off or light them and they make the room smell fresh! I really want a big collection of these and I really want to try the summer scents now. I have a few Christmassy ones but I'm unsure whether to light them! I really think they're worth the money too.

MUA Artiste Collection Palette | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £6
This is the prettiest palette! I love speckled/merged colors and I think this palette is great. I'm starting to collect more palettes now so I might not buy this one so soon but I will buy it one day! I love the shades and think they're perfect for summer. I think it's at a great price too.

MUA Brow Pencil - Brunette | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £1
I tried the lighter color of this and it didn't suit me. I'm collecting a few more brow things as I think they're the things I need to improve. I think the price with the brush is brilliant.

New look Oatmeal Sandal | NewLook | £16 (Was £20)
I love these, I love sandals in the Summer and Spring. i think they go with pretty mucb everything like leggings, jeggings, jeans, skirts.. especially because they're nude! They're really simple but pretty at the same time.

MUA Pro Base | MUAstore.co.uk or Superdrug | £5
I really want to try this. I think ELF have one that I was going to purchase. I think that it's something different to add to a collection or to complete your collection. I don't know how much the ELF one is but I think this is a great price.

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual | WHSmith / Waterstone | £15
Sorry if the price is wrong! I have a few makeup manuals and I did actaully have this on my Christmas list. I didn't manage to get it so hopefully I can get this one.

Does anything take your fancy in January?

#WhatIAteWednesday

I really love Chinese.. if you do too then what better way than to add vegetables?

What You Need | Ingredients
Half Yellow Pepper
1 Mushroom
Half Carrot, Grated
Half Onion
2 Garlic Cloves
Noodles
Rice
1 Cup peas

How To Do | Method
Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a wok. Add all vegetables when the oil becomes hot. When the vegetables are cooked - this will be when the vegetables still have crunch but are piping - add the garlic. You want a bit of oil still at the bottom of the wok so the garlic turns golden and crispy. This gets the garlic essenced around the pan and the vegetables but doesn't give a strong, sweet acid of the garlic. After this, add your peas. I used frozen garden peas and I think these should be the only peas used. I added them from frozen to the wok and they cooked from frozen but still kept their crunch.
When everything was cooking, I simmered the noodles in a saucepan. I used 'Sharwoods Egg Noodles' which are perfect. I added the amount of noodles I thought was the equivalent of the vegetables. Once the noodles are cooked, this takes around 15 minutes, I added them into the oily wok, with the vegetables. I added a Chinese seasoning to the Noodles to give that takeaway taste, if you want to see what one click here and it'll take you to the Tesco website. I really like using this seasoning because it blends into the oils and doesn't leave a powdery texture in the noodles.
Cook for around 5 minutes and you're done! Cook some rice on the side if you wish or add some Soy Sauce!
Enjoy!

Any New Years Resolutions, Zofia?

-photo taken from weheartit.com, i personally edited but if it belongs to you I can remove-

Ah... time to be honest! I've been really looking forward to doing this post. I really want to change a few things this year. I don't want to change myself, I never would be able to. I just want to change a few mistakes from this year and make 2013 a better version of 2012.  I really think a new year is a fresh start and a good way to use the start of the year as a blank canvas. I'm going to do more of a chatty post today and explain a few things that I'm going to change! (or hope to).

To be Happy.Bit of a silly one! I just always catch myself in the worst moods and I never seem to be happy. I'm trying to not let things bring me down and to just smile a lot more. A lot of things get me down but you know what? You only live once and I'm going to try my best to not get worried or upset and not to listen to what people say.. difficult, but I'll try..

Get out more.
As you can tell by Blogmas.. I'm very boring. I hardly go out or do anything, I'm always stuck in bored and so I'm going to try my best and go out and get some fresh air. Even if it's a 10 minute walk, I'll do it.

Cut down snacking.
This is my hardest one. I want to have 3 meals a day with a healthy snack, smaller portions and less carbs. VERY DIFFICULT, but I did this last year and it lasted 4 months.. I felt happier. Lets see if I can do it again!

There just the three that I want to change and improve. I want 2013 to be good as we all have to live everyday like it's our last.

Do you have any new years resolutions?

Happy New Years Eve!

-photo taken from weheartit.com. Although I personally edited, if it belongs to you I will take it down-

So here we are.. New Years Eve.. I can't actually believe 2012 is here already! This year has been really eventful, especially for the UK! It doesn't really sink in to the fact we were all meant to die, we had the London Olympics, we had the Jubilee - the time has just gone SO fast! We've all been waiting for 2012 for all the main events and I think it's the reason why it's just gone whizzing by. Christmas didn't last long and tomorrow will be the start of 2013, time to do it all over again!

2012 has been a year full of good and bad. We all have personal highlights and things we'd rather forget but all in all, I think its been a pretty good year. The weather wasn't brilliant for the UK, but hey! It never really is what we expect is it! I never really got to go to the beach this year which was a shame, so i'm counting on 2013 to bring me a little bit of a bronzed glow and sea&sand! I did get to go to London once a month this year, starting from June so I'm really happy with that, I love London and one day wish to move there! Each day we went to London this year we did something different, I got to visit Stratford Westfield which I wanted to do for ages, I got to visit Shepard's Bush Westfield which was good. I also got to see the Olympic clock which was cool after seeing it on the TV a few times! - I will be doing a post on my 2012 highlights tomorrow, so keep an eyeout if you want to see what I got up to in 2012!

2012 has really given me a little bit of confidence.. I didn't have the best time in 2011 and it's not been brilliant in 2012, but I did start doing something that I'm really proud of and that I will be doing for a long time. I started a blog! I know that I'm just starting out and I AM learning new things. I started a Youtube channel which I personally think has got off to a good start! I dont have millions of followers but what I do have - I'm happy with! It's given me a little hobby and something I can say to my mum 'Look what i did'. To some people you might not understand what I mean - I hope you do! In 2013 I will carry on with blogging, I have many things lined up and many idea's to share with you all!

I hope you've had a great year and I hope you enjoyed Christmas! Thankyou all for following me since I started blogging and thankyou all for subscribing on Youtube.. there's only a few of you but seriously - it means the world to know that I'm blogging for a reason!

Thankyou .. and happy new year!

Lots of love,
Zofia,

Elemis FreshSkin Lipbalm

This refreshing peppermint Elemis FreshSkin Loving Lips Quenching Lip Balm is enriched with passionflower oil, sweet almond oil and vitamin E to soften and condition the lips.

Ever since I won the Elemis giveaway, I have wanted to review things for you and tell you what I think. I haven't got round to trying most of the skincare items, but I have got round to trying the 'FreshSkin Quenching Lipbalm'. I've never really been a huge fan of skincare as you all know and I haven't really been a fan of lip balm's until I tried the Born Lippy; Body Shop lip balm. I really wanted to review this because I really have enjoyed using this everyday as part of my routine; morning & night.

The lipbalm contains Vitamin E, Passionflower Oil, Peppermint & Sweet Almond Oil. When using the lipbalm I can really smell peppermint and it smells slightly like Soap & Glory's Scrub Your Nose In It scrub, if you've all smelled that, you'll know what I mean! When I apply the lipbalm, I can really feel it working, it tingles slightly but not as bad as Soap & Glory's plumping lip balm.

I really like how it's not sticky or overly glossy, it just creates a transparent coating. I really enjoy using this under or over a matte lipstick, just because it keeps my lips supple and smooth without leaving cracks or sightly lines through the lipstick. I normally apply this just before bedtime and just before I apply my makeup.

This is for teens-20 in the FreshSkin range and maybe it might not be as effective for over 30's as a treatment.. although it could be good for a makeup style application, for a lipgloss. On the Feel Unique website they gave a good beauty tip which I thought would be good to include "
Harsh winds, frosty mornings and strong sunlight all contribute to dry or chapped lips. Keep lips well moisturised at all times to minimise damage and drink plenty of water. Fine lines and wrinkles appear around the lips later in life, and smoking can exaggerate these lines."

I won this in a giveaway for free but you can buy it at Feelunique.com for £6.40 or on the Elemis website for £8. I don't quite understand why price ranges differ on both websites but I thought I would include both prices! I don't think for 10ml I would personally pay £8 but because I won it I think its amazing to use without the price tag!

Have you tried it?

Blogmas | Day 26

Hello! I have Christmas blues.. I really am dreading the tree going down and the presents being put away upstairs in my room. I love all seasons, I love summer but winter has been really good this year and I really have enjoyed Christmas although me, Mum & Dad argued a lot over the last few days!
I have had a great birthday, at first I woke up at 2 - cries - and I was really moody but by 5pm I was really excited and in a good mood! I got some lovely presents, I never get as much as I do for Christmas on my Birthday just because I like to get more for Christmas. I got some really nice personalized '16 today' gifts which are so lovely and I really appreciate! This years presents have been amazing. I also got made a cake by Dad which is so lovely, topped with sweets.. mm! I didn't do anything for my birthday because I'm going to London on Friday for my birthday, skating & winter wonderland! I'm really excited for that too, haha.
I also had another roast dinner today which was good, cant beat a Sunday Dinner on a Wednesday!

Hope you all had a good Boxing Day,
x

Blogmas | Day 25

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas Day! Seems quite strange that now it's all over and all that leadup has just been and gone.. I love Christmas and always get a bit sad when it's over! I had a great day and got some great little bits! I have a lot to show you over on Youtube when I do my Christmas haul and I really cant wait to review some of the bits for you all, telling you what's worthy and not worthy!
I got some Yankee candles which smell b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l! I remember ordering them waaaaaaaaay back and now I finally have them! I have pink sands, christmas tree, baby powder, christmas cookie and Lemon & lavendar; a perfect range of scents. I got a lot of bath/body things which is always handy because I've used quite a lot up this year and still have alot of Soap&Glory to use, but the more the merrier! I got a few sweeties bits which  I love! (Chewits & Jellytots.. mm!).
I wont go into much detail about what I got, just because I want to do a Christmas Haul and so I don't want to spoil it! I wont be posting pictures of my haul on here, just because its too large and It'll bore you! But I will review quite a few bits after Christmas. As you all might know it's now 2am and it is actually my 16th Birthday! I'm quite excited for my birthday, I can buy a lotto ticket and have a few vodka's in the pub;-) I cant wait to see what small gifts I have in the morning, I know I wont have millions, just because I got a lot on Christmas Day which I prefer.
I'm so happy with my gifts and had a lovely day! It went too fast for my liking, but Christmas always does! 374 more days to go..;)
I hope you all had the most perfect day ever and had a great time with family and friends. I hope you all got what you wanted and hope Santa was generous! I will be Blogmassing tomorrow too so make sure you keep and eye out as I don't know what time it will be posted as I'm not good with keeping everything up to date so it might be past midnight!

Who saw Santa last night;)?

Lots of love..

Have a great Boxing Day xo
