Thoughts On | Rimmel Kate Lipsticks | My Collection

 Hello there gorgeous girlies!
So sorry tonight's post is quite late on. I usually schedule for 7.30pm UK time but tonight's post wasn't scheduled and I've been working all day so I just found time tonight to do my biggest passion and blog for you all!

If you remember a few months back, these used to fill my monthly wishlists. I always loved the idea of Kate's lippies and everyone blogs about them on a daily basis. I think Rimmel lipstick *and the brand altogether* have to be my favourites and if I'm looking or lusting over the idea of a new shade I will always walk over to Rimmel's stand for quality, value and inexpensive beauty buys purely because I know they work.

I haven't *unfortunately* tried all of the Kate brand just because I've been seeing how they work and how I like them first - now I truly know I love them I'll head down to Boots and pick up all the shades.
For tonight's post though I'll go through my small collection and explain my favourites - by the picture I'm sure you can tell which one I carry in my Mary Poppins bag....

Kate Lipstick | Black Bullet | Shade 05
I purchased 05 and 02 on the same day and found it hard to differentiate between the two. I actually thought they were the same shade - but no!
The black ones are the MATTE range so this lipstick is matte. With this lipstick I liked the pinky shade. I liked that it wasn't as bright as 02 and I liked that it was a shade that I don't actually own - it's quite different.
I was really excited to try this lippie as the colour is gorgeous and pinks are my favourite. When I applied it (without a balm) I did find it hard to push the lipstick onto my lips and apply - it did feel very drying and very matte. I do have to apply a balm under this because I feel like it wouldn't look right for work and I'd probably be a bit conscious! All in all though I do like this lipstick but the red bullet lipsticks are my favourite.

Kate Lipstick | Black Bullet | Shade 02
Same review as above, I really loved this shade because it's a fuschia pink and definately the pinks I go for. I don't have the smallest shape lips in the world so I really enjoy piling on the pink because I feel like they suit me best!:-)
I felt like this lipstick didn't 'fill in the lines' that well - I felt like it needed a lip brush to apply it, if not it didn't really look right? This one is very drying but I do love it; it's just not a lipstick you can throw on 5 minutes before you leave the house.

Kate Lipstick | Red Bullet | Shade 101
My absolute GO TO! You wouldn't believe how much I LOVE this lipstick. I've been using it every single day and it's the perfect one for work. It's so sleek and lovely and applies like a dream. It applies so smooth and it's kind of like you've applied some lip gloss over the top; that's how smooth it is. It doesn't sink into the cracks or the oops bits of your lips and it lasts quite long. I work on average 6 hours and it lasts all that time and only gets kind of dry 4 hours after. I really enjoy to put my MAC Minaj lippie as a base of this because then it really does last all day! I've enjoyed using this and I always carry it around with me as I know it suits everything I wear and my everyday smoky eye. As you can tell by the picture - the difference of usage and the different formulas.
I also find that the red bullet collection shades are more me and bright than the black bullet packaging - although I will try them all.
Rimmel..you've done it again.. I love you!

Kate Lipstick | Black Bullet | Shade 13
A different colour in my range is this bright orange. I have a few other oranges in my collection but they're not as vibrant. Same review as the other black range but I think this one blends a lot better. I think this is probably one I need to use more and I'll get back to you.

Review | Skinology Tea Tree Spot Stick

 Hello there lovely!
Today I'm blogging because I didn't yesterday. I've decided to do a bit of a review but it won't be an extra in depth review because I don't really have that much to say I simply have a quick things to clear up about this product.

Over the last two months, I've been using this. It's from the Skinology range at Wilko. Now, if you've been reading Little Miss Prada for a while and scan through past blog posts, you'll realise that I'm a user of Skinology and their face wash/cleanser. As I looked on the Skinology shelf I noticed that they do a 'spot stick' which I've noticed on ELF website before. I decided to pick it up and try!

I've basically ended the bottle now so I feel like I can actually tell you about my thoughts, how it works and how I got on with it.

What's the spot stick like?
As you can see, it's a glass, small ML'd rollerball bottle. You can see the liquid inside which I thought was good because sometimes, you can get things like this without the product showing whereas this bottle is good.
The spot stick actually comes in a small cardboard box but I stored this without.

Method?
It's really simple to use but I did have the initial thought of how to to actually use this effectively so it actually worked. I've tried many different ways of using this.
At first I rolled the rollerball gently on the area of spots - after time, I realised this may not be a good idea as the rollerball could get contaminated to create more spots - I think this is why I didn't find it as effective...
After time I decided to roll it on a cotton ball and dab the cotton ball into the spot.

Overall Thought
In my opinion, a waste of time. You might aswell look after your skin and cleanse. I didn't see any results in this and if there were any results it's probably because they went a little less red but I wouldn't say this contributed to removing a spot or cleaning a spot.
I don't think this rollerball is a good idea, maybe remove the rollerball and stock it like that so you can empty some onto a cotton ball and use like that.
I don't think this works very well and I won't be repurchasing. It seemed like a good product to try and for £1 you really can't go wrong. I'm glad I used it all - nothing was wasted.

What do you think of anti spot sticks?
Good results or no results?

Collective Haul

Hello there gorgeous!
Haul time again and today I have a few bits and bobs for you. These things haven't been picked up recently but they've been bought a few weeks back. I will have a haul soon with all the recent things I've bought but me with wages means a catch up!

Asda Skin System Cleanser
I bought this a while back because it was inexpensive and I wanted to try a few more skincare things. After using it for a while I'm not overly keen. It's a milk base which doesn't suit oily skin and so I feel that when I use it, it doesn't really remove makeup and make my skin feel smooth, fresh, awake and clean. Thumbs down...

Wilko Alcohol Base Cleanser - Tea Tree
Thumbs up! I love this cleanser. I always get it and I always alternate between the green Tea tree range and the blue normal range. I really like this and when I use it I can tell it works because my skin stings - this is a good thing though, I'm not allergic ahaha!

Wilko Tea Tree Face Wash
Same as above. When I'm in the bath this is great to remove all my makeup from the day or if it's a makeup free day it freshens my face up and makes me feel smooth and clean.

Tea Tree Spot Stick
I won't go into too much detail with this because I want to review it separate but lets just say i wouldn't buy again....

Sinful Colours Irish Green
My first SC! I've always taken a look to their inexpensive boots stand but I've just never made a purchase. I passed Poundland weeks back and came across a huge row of these so I bought this very gorgeous shade!

Rimmel Shout Out Loud
Beautiful colour - my reason for purchasing!

Rimmel Peppermint
Another gorgeous shade, probably more suited to Spring but I've been wearing it lately anyway.

Kate Lippies 13, 2, 5.
Beautiful pink/orange shades. I've been trying these all out lately so I'll let you know what I think separately. I love these shades.

Champagne Pink Fuzzy Jumper | Primark
Primark have a lot of these in store lately and I'm obviously going to get them all. I loved this colour and champagne pinks are lovely! This is a winter staple.

Brown Tassle Shorts
Very impulse buy.. these were £1 in Primark so I obviously had to get them. They've lovely and warm but I couldn't wear these now , people would call the local helpline...

Pink Peplum
I have a mint green one so I had to get this - £2 in Primark and it's a lovely top to pop on in S/S.

September Empties

Tonight's post is a well needed empties one!
I've not been doing empties for a while but they're starting to build up now so I have many products to chat about with you.

Baylis and Harding bath foam - I really loved using this and I've actually been out of this for a while but it's been in the bottom of my empties bag. I really like the scent of this and I have a few mini's of this to use up.
Elemis Face Scrub - Mixed thoughts of this, it's an okay scrub but pointless for the price. I didn't notice anything different to my £1 one so I'm not repurchasing. The smell was lovely, though.
Timotei Pure Shampoo I enjoyed using this and it worked well with my hair. I'd like to repurchase this but I'm trying other shampoo's at the moment.
Face wipes An everyday favourite to remove my makeup.
Derma V10 Cocoa Butter - Very strong scented, thick and moisturising and it's from Poundland! I'll repurchase because it's longlasting for a cheaper price tag.
Soap And Glory Heel Genius This is great, not sure if I'd purchase again but it lasted me a long time and it makes feet slightly smoother.
Just Bathe Bubble Bath I love the smell of this and it was a lovely gift set to receive. It's brilliant for bubbles because a little bit makes a lot!

September Favourites

Hello! Very quick favourites post for you today. I don't have many, just a few things to talk through!

Natural Collection Eyeshadow Duo I've been loving this recently and it's been good for work. I use the brown shade in my outer corners and for liner with an angled brush and I love the pale shade for an eyeshadow base and to highlight brows.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara I love this. I've also been using this everyday for work and it's amazing. Someone on twitter said this is a good Benefit dupe so there you go!
It evens out my lashes perfectly and is so lightweight to wear. Rimmel, I love you!

Chit Chat Juicy Lipstick Perfect moisturizing lipstick. It lasts quite long on the lips and is a lovely daytime shade. I have all shades of these - perfect for £1!

October Wishlist

Untitled #598

Hello there!
Today's post is a wishlist one. I feel like I haven't done one of these in ages - I seriously think this month has gone by so slow!
Last month I managed to bag myself a job - I've already had my first wages and I didnt' actually purchase anything overly exciting! I'll be doing a haul soon so you'll see what I picked up.
Now as I have a job, I feel like I'm able to buy many more 'high end' items which I'm definitely considering after Christmas.
This month many new releases have hit the shelves so I've actually kept up!

Body Shop Honeymania Range I really want to try the new range at The Body Shop, I went in there the other day and the new range looks really good. I actually got an invite to the event for the release and I couldn't make it!:-(
Island Fantasy Fragrance As I work in the Perfume Shop I've been smelling allsorts of fragrances. Although this is a fresh summer scent I still want it - it's gorgeous!
Collection Privee Lipstick Range I really want to collect all of these. They're a new, nude range of lippies and I really like the colour range. They're a celebrity range too!
Loreal Cleansing Water I'm sure you're all sick and tired of seeing this on blogs but I'm yet another blogger that wants to try this! It's had many mixed reviews but it's something I'd like to try in the terms of skincare.
MUA Matte Lipsticks MUA have brought out new lipsticks and they're all matte formulas. Mixed reviews but I'll try them because 5 lipsticks for £5 is brilliant. I think they're either going to be really drying or a perfect formula....
A YSL Lipstick Now as I have wages, I'm going to treat myself! Not sure what lippie I want from them though....

Hello October | The Autumn Tag

photo belongs to me

Well Hello October!
I'm not sure what to think about September. In a way, I think it's gone by so fast but looking back, it's been a bit of a slow journey...
September was an ok month, I didn't really notice a weather chance because we've been very fortunate considering it's been quite warm, sunny and not autumnal. We've not had a rainy day....

This September/October I've not really noticed the effects of Autumn. The picture above was taken last year and look at all the beautiful leaves! Last year I really enjoyed autumn, I really enjoyed the boots, coats and gorgeous leaves but this year has been totally different. At the moment, one street in my area has golden leaves scattered about the floor, but not as many as last year - I hope we get the same treatment again!

Today's post is a tag and I haven't done a tag in ages so this should be one that I enjoy and ofcourse, I tag you all to do it and leave a link below so I can see your favourite parts of Autumn!

  1. Favourite thing about Autumn? So many things! I love the countdown to Christmas, the golden leaves, snug days inside, and ofcourse photography opportunities in the garden!
  2. Favourite drink? I don't really like hot drinks and I don't drink tea/coffee so you won't get the usual 'Starbucks' mention here because I've never had one! At the moment I've been drinking a lot of 'Caribbean Crush' lucozade...which is a bit summery but there you go..
  3. Favourite scent? Oooo, this should be a good one considering I work in the Perfume Shop! At the moment I'm really liking Island Fantasy by Britney Spears...strange how it's a summer scent but I don't really coordinate the seasons to scents.
A few other scents I love in the autumn are cinnamon candles. I need to purchase some from Yankee Candle because they smell so cosy and warm!
  4. Best lipstick? As I'm doing this tag, I'm finding myself still attached to summer..I'm still wearing barbie pink shades! *covers face*... For the Autumn though I really like Rimmel's lipstick in 'Bronze Goddess' as it's the perfect brown for my skin tone as I don't wear plum shades.
  5. Go to moisturiser? I've not been moisturising lately which is so lame but I really like Soap And Glory in the winter and I really like The Body Shop butters, although the ones out at the moment are very summery so I need to purchase some Gingerbread editions and Honeymania!
  6. Go to colours for the eyes? I love bronze/brown colours all the time and they're my everyday choices so I'll keep to that and probably add a bit of liner. I really want to try different shades this autumn but I probably won't get round to it...
  7. Favourite band/singer to listen to? I don't really need to change my music taste for the seasons so I listen to the same old tunes...
  8. Favourite outfit to wear? I've decided to keep to the same outfit choices but add some tights and a jacket. I need to pop into all the shops soon and get some autumnal skater skirt colours.
  9. Autumn treat? Oooooh, I'm not too sure?!
  10. Favourite place to be? London! Hyde Park and St James' look beautiful in Autumn.

More Than Beauty | A Day At London Zoo!

Hello everyone!
Today's post is a lifestyle one - I love doing these.
I went to London Zoo a few weeks back, at the end of August and I had a really good time. I've never actually been to a Zoo before so it was good seeing all the animals as I'm a huge animal lover! I don't think I had a favourite part of the Zoo as the whole day was brilliant, but I'll go through some things that I loved in a bit...

I can't compare London Zoo to any other Zoo, purely because this is my first time but I thought the Zoo was really well laid out and we could find everything really easy using the map. I really liked how the Zoo was in categories like 'Aquarium' and 'African Animals' because this made it easy to find each section.
I thought the Zoo was really tidy aswell - ofcourse there's no litter because it's bad for the animals but I liked how tidy the different sections were and how well the animals get looked after. I wanted to take them home at the end of the day!

While I was on my way to the Zoo I knew instantly I wanted to see the water animals. I absolutely love them - I love Otters, Seals, Penguins and ofcourse the coral reefs at the Aquarium section.
On the day I went I didn't make it to the certain section in time to see the Penguins being fed and I didn't see any seals; but, the adorable otters and penguins made up for that!

The otters are so adorable with their whiskers and I loved the way the penguins dived in after eachother in the pool. You could tell the penguins were well looked after because the water was so clean and they have lovely surroundings to play with. I loved the way there was a window to watch them at the bottom of the pool. I was so fascinated with watching them!

In the 'African section' there was alsorts of animals - the ones that I couldn't wait to see! Giraffes, Zebras, Okapis and some sort of 'fighter dog' which, infact, are really cute..even though they're probably not like the ones you live with at home.....
I love the Giraffes in the Africa section. They're so funny to watch and their tongues are HILARIOUS! They're so long! QUICK FACT - Giraffes tongues are so long and they stop sunburn! I wonder how that works....

I think the funniest but of the day was watching the monkeys. I LOVE the gorillas and they're so alike to us - I loved watching them eat...it's like watching a human!
I loved the smaller monkeys too, I couldn't stop laughing at them. I loved watching one monkey select the food he wanted to eat, he had a plate of celery, carrots and potatoes and he was choosing what he wanted to try next....so adorable!

There were many other animals there but I just thought I'd share some of my favourites with you. I hope you enjoyed reading my Zoo Day out - have you ever visited the Zoo?:-)

lots of love,
XO

How I'd Style Autumn Boots | Autumn Nudes

Untitled #596
JUMPER - NEW LOOK
JEANS - NEW LOOK
BAG - ASOS
BOOTS - NEW LOOK
BEAUTY - LOREAL
Hello there gorgeous!
Today I'm back with a How To Style post and I love it!
At the moment, I'm loving champagne pinks and nudes. I'm just finishing with my summer brights and now I really want to start looking for navys, bottle greens and mustard yellows.

For autumn, if you're the type of person that enjoys brights, neons and fushia pinks then I think nudes are for you. They're great autumn/winter shades and I've seen many of them in the shops at the moment.

Today's How To Style Post is on Autumn Boots. I saw these on the New Look website and I really like them. New Look say they're 'grey' but I see them as a browny/grey shade as they don't look full on grey on the site..

I knew I wanted to match the boots with a jumper as I'm jumper hunting at the moment. I love jumpers and Primark are doing lovely ones - All under £15 aswell!
The jumper that I featured in todays post is actually in Primark for £10 as I picked it up the other weekend but obviously New Look is the next best thing as Primark don't have a site.
I think muddy brows and whites/champagne pinks look lovely together so I think the jumper suits the boots lovely.

Instead of keeping the whole outfit nude/brown I threw in a deeper colour with the jeans. I featured some New Look jeans on here the other month and a few people said they liked them so I decided to add in another pair today.

For accessories I came across this 'Lauren Conrad' style bag which I thought matched the jumper quite well and I love jumpers and shoulder bags.
Makeup wise I have my eyes on these lipsticks from Loreal at the moment and I thought this was the perfect shade for the outfit. Nails - Loreal again. Such a gorgeous champagne colour which adds a pretty theme to autumn.

I hope you like!

Something I'm Loving At The Moment | Apocalips | Dungarees and Donuts

Hello Bloggers, I'm Jess!
I blog over at www.dungarees-and-donuts.co.uk I am quite a new blogger but it's so fun and I wish i'd got into it a lot longer, I am always looking for other guest bloggers so if you're interested pop over to my blog!
So a few nights ago I was looking for a guest blogger and Zofia messaged me saying she wanted to get involved so we decided to a post for each others blog- and I have just seen Zofia's guest post for my blog whilst writing this and it will totally put my post to shame but hey ho!

I recently bought a lip lacquer from Apocalips by Rimmel London and decided I would review it here- Although they are quite pricey at £7.00 when I bought it there was an offer to buy any other beauty product to get one of them half price so I did that, I was a bit unsure whether I would actually even wear it but I decided to take a risk, although it doesn't stay on very long when it does the colour is super vibrant and glossy and I really like the way it looks it's better than your average lipgloss and all the bright colours there is to try it in, I say go for it- I mean why not if you usually wear a nude tone mix it up with one of these if you don't want to go with a vibrant pink or red they also have nude colours but the gloss makes it look amazing, I bought the shade 402 Across the universe which is a bright red but I love wearing reds so when I tested it I decided it was the colour for me. The brush makes it really easy to apply and gives it a good coating and as I mentioned earlier on in the post it does come off quite quickly (we are talking 15-20 mins. but what lipgloss really stays on for long hey?) but it's no problem to reapply and definitely worth it I was happy with the results and the great thing about all the different shades is that you can wear them anywhere but I'll be wearing mine everytime I get a chance- maybe not to work though? I do not think they would appreciate bright red lips and it would totally clash with the sainsburys uniform- yucky purple and orange! I would overall rate this product 3.5/5 it would of got a higher rating it stayed on for longer.

Over and out,
xo

Autumn Nail Tutorial | Autumn Oranges

Hello...again!
Last post for today, another one that never managed to schedule the other day so I've decided to do it now.
We've headed into Autumn now and so each season needs some nail art! I decided to do autumn trees/leaves with an orange/red colour selection.

1. Get a cotton bud and gently wet it. Don't make it too damp but remember to dip all the cotton in so it's not dry. Gently squeeze the cotton bud so the remaining water runs out and the nail polish doesn't water down.
2. Use nail polish in Orange and Red to dab mixed colours on. Apply like the picture above.
3. Use the damp cotton bud to merge the polish colours into eachother. Dont rub, dab!
4. When it's done, it should look like this, you can add more orange or red depending on how you want the leaves to look.
5. Add a top coat so it feels smooth and looks clear.
6. Use a black nail art pen to do tree designs. Mine look like autumn palm trees but I'm sure you're all better designers than me!
7. Notice how I've gone L-R using oranges then deeper shades? Be creative!

Lots of love,
XO

More Than Beauty | A Day In London: The Shard

 Hello there gorgeous!
Today, I'm in the mood for a ramble. So it's a lifestyle post type of day!
Late August I went to London *yay for London!* and me and Dad visited The Shard. I'm so not a big fan of heights - I get dizzy climbing the stairs! But, I was fine on the London Eye and I was perfectly fine on this, thankfully.

We arrived at the Shard around 10.30 which was the time of our viewing, the staff are so lovely and there's a lot of them on the main floor! We got our bags checked, photos taken etc just before we went up.
After we got our bags checked, we went straight into the lift which takes around 10 seconds from floor 1 to floor 68 - crazy! On floor 68 is the first viewing platform, but it's enclosed. You feel no rain, no wind, no nothing - it's like standing in your bedroom window but 68 floors in the air!
I loved the view but on the day I went it was misty which was a shame but we're going on a sunny day again anyway. I got plenty of photos so I'm happy with that.

There was a lot of room to walk round, very calm and very thought out.

After spending around 40 minutes on floor 68, we headed up the stairs to floor 72, which is the open air one. It's partly open air and you do feel some wind, rain and the heat if the sun is out. Luckily it stopped showering when I went up there so it was only slightly breezy not cold, not hot, not rainy. This is obviously higher up than 68 so it was a bit more misty than the below floor but luckily, the mist started to clear and I managed to get some clearer pictures.

On The Shard you see all the views such as The Wash at the North Sea (about 1 hour and a half from my house!) you see the Gherkin and all the big buildings near there. You should see Canary Wharf and the London Eye (which I could slightly see) and you can see other landmarks like Buck Palace and the Tower Of London. I seriously recommend visiting the Shard as it's actually quite inexpensive (£40 for me and Dad) and you have as long as you like up there. The photo possibilities are endless and ofcourse, you can be a tourist for the day and have a brilliant experience.

 ________________________________

After the Shard, we obviously stayed in London as it was only 12.30pm and we had plenty of other things to do. We walked along the Southbank which I've never actually done, I usually walk along the Embankment (near the London Eye) but never walk past the Southbank. We passed the ITV Studios, they had a few stalls and they also had a little 'Beano magazine' exhibition on too, which my Dad loved from his younger days! Haha.

After the Shard it rained all afternoon. It stopped about 6pm but my feet were wet all day. I luckily had my umbrella so I was ok!
We visited Kensington Palace and had a cuppa with Kate;-), we visited the Orangery at the palace too which was great, so many beautiful flowers are there!
After that we got the bus outside and went past Hyde Park, Green Park and into a very rainy Oxford Street. I didn't actually make any purchases in London so I skipped Oxford Street for the first time ever!

After that we just strolled about, we went into Hamleys and didn't manage to see Dexter Koh of Big Brother fame, even though he was in the exact bit we were at the same time!
I've never been to Hamley's but it's great, my childhood came rushing back!
After Hamleys I was famished! so we went and had out very first Subway - very tasty I must say. I now have big cravings for Krispy Kremes and Subway - thanks London.

All in all, it was a brilliant day! In a few posts time I'll be sharing my London Zoo day out with you, which I attended the week after the Shard. I hope you enjoy these lifestyle posts, I love sharing my life with you all!

XO

*if you're wondering, my top and blazer is from Primark, my necklace was a gift and my bracelet is from BHS but was a gift too. My very first OOTD!*

Primark Lipstick Review | A Beautiful Pink Shade

Hi there!
I'm back. Yep, you might have not noticed my disappearing act, but I'm back...!
I've been gone since September 1st and luckily my posts were all scheduled. My internet bill -in all honesty- has been unpayable and so I've been internetless. I hate when my internet goes because I can't do what I love most - Blog.

While I was gone I got the job at the Perfume Shop. I've mentioned in a few older posts that I had an interview and I managed to get a second interview and I've been there since Friday 13th...typical me with a date like that! I'm going to do a catch up post in a few days with the goings ons anyway, so I'll leave the gossip until then!

Todays post is a post that never got scheduled, I've decided to do it today because it's one I really wanted to show you all.
It's a review on Primark makeup. I've been loving using this product in particular and it's been a good item to use over the summer.

I've never really tried makeup from Primark, so this was a first. It was a slight impulse buy because I don't really need another colour like this but it was tooooo gorgeous to turn down! I was attracted to this because of the perfect £1 price tag and the beautiful barbie pink shade which suit me the best, I think!

I never really had high hopes for this lippie, I just thought it was going to look bright but be non-pigmented on my lips or be very drying and show every meh bit on my lips... but no, none of that happened!

I love this lipstick because it's very pigmented, yet blendable and buildable. I love how you can apply a little dab of it for a wash of colour or apply it fully and get a beautiful punch of pink. It blends really well too, it's smooth and can be applied with a lip brush or blended with your finger.
It lasts really long and the only problem with this is that it could become slightly drying over the day so you need to apply another layer, but that's not a major problem so I think this lipstick could suit everyone!

I thought I'd pop by and mention this lippie because it's a brilliant best buy.
So glad I'm back to the good ole' blogging, I'll try not to vanish again!

Lots of love,
XO
